The summer may be drawing to a close but
that’s no excuse not to continue enjoying the pleasures of a summer holiday…!
Better still. Why not create your very own holiday resort, decide upon the attractions,
features and prices and then sit back and track individual guests as they go about their
dream holiday and indulge themselves (and each other) in realistic holiday pursuits such
as fights, drunkenness and, of course, romance…? BEACH LIFE from Eidos lets you do just that, but
there’s a catch…! Not only will you decide on every aspect of your ultimate
resort, you’ll also have to take into consideration the needs, desires and wishes of
your clients and make everything work well together – and that will mean coping with
all the disastrous aspects of summer holidays too. The game presents players with more than a dozen holiday
challenges in a range of exotic locations. Each one will contain variations of clientele,
weather, mission objectives and hazards to overcome and it’s the player’s task
to provide all the essentials plus, of course, all the extras that will make your visitors
holiday complete. If they are happy they’ll stay and spend more money. If they are
not they’ll hop on the nearest transportation out of there, usually taking a few
other guests with them…! So…! Do you fill your beaches with barbecues, water sports,
jet-skis, or pedaloes? Do you provide amusement arcades, clubs and restaurants? Or is it
simply plenty of cheap booze and loud music that your clients are after…? That’s
for you to decide. The simple interface and controls will allow you to check at any time
to judge their mood and providing there’s enough money in the bank you will be able
to cater for their every need. An up close and personal ‘voyeur-cam’ also
let’s you track individual holidaymakers as they enjoy the fruits of your labour and
you’ll see them getting up to all sorts in your dream resort. Drunken debauchery, booze cruses, wet t-shirt competitions,
beauty pageants, brawling and holiday romances - in fact everything that makes the perfect
holiday is here for the taking but with such a diversity of preferences to cater for the
task of keeping them all happy will not be an easy one. Sport fans, fitness freaks,
partygoers or simple lager-louts all have their own idea of what makes a perfect resort
and it’s up to you to provide it. This is The Sims, Big Brother and Survivor all rolled into one. A
tycoon game that, while sometimes complex is also tons of fun to play. BEACH LIFE
let’s you create whatever you feel is the perfect holiday experience, but whether
your guests feel the same way is another matter. In either case you will witness some
outrageous and memorable moments as your visitors enjoy the facilities you provide and
with the option to photograph their antics readily available you can email snaps to
