It's
been more than a thousand years since Earth unleashed
the Terraformers onto the universe; these machines, capable
of reproduction and evolution, once thought as the precursors
of everlasting prosperity, quickly turned into the deadliest
threat to biological life that ever existed. For two centuries
this technological plague had been held in check, barely;
and now, the machines have returned, more advanced, more
determined than ever before…
Starting with X3: Terran Conflict, a completely revamped
mission guidance system will be introduced into the
X series. You can now accept missions anywhere in space
or onboard stations. Your briefings are available at
all times, anywhere, for a large number of all-new missions.
You are guided visually through one of up to five missions
that can be played simultaneously. You may manage your
currently active missions by way of the new “My
Mission interface”.
X3: REUNION introduced a powerful HQ station, heralding
the dawn of a new era. But as the new age comes to pass,
you realize one thing: YOUR WORLD WILL NEVER BE THE
SAME AGAIN! Find your powerful new home in X3: Terran
Conflict, and play the most immersive plot in any X
game, EVER!
Take on missions, devise strategies in both trade and
combat, find your way through the universe, a universe
that will act and react in response to your every move.
X³: Terran Conflict is a brand new, stand-alone
game set in the universe of X³. It is the culmination
of the X trilogy, with a grand finale that takes us
all the way back to Earth's own solar system. Gamers
can take on the roles of different characters in the
X universe, or of a Terran military pilot, and experience
a multitude of stories in the largest X universe ever
featured – for X³: Terran Conflict will offer
more missions than any other X game before. Meanwhile,
X³: Terran Conflict will pose questions such as:
How has Earth changed in all these years? And how will
relations between Earth and its counterparts in the
X universe develop?
X³: Terran Conflict is scheduled for release end
of September 2008.
