The gameplay features Real World Super-Powered
Warfare allowing you to unleash the authentic military
arsenals of the great military superpowers, such as
tanks, planes, trucks, troops and helicopters - as well
as nuclear weapons - from the USA, Soviet Union and
NATO.
It removes base-building and resource
gathering, creating a game that is fast, hard-hitting
and focuses on tactical combat – much like an
FPS. The game also supports up to 16 players for head-to-head
and team-based battles in Domination, Tug-of-War and
Assault modes.
Player Roles – Players will play
as Infantry, Armour, Support, or Air specialists; multiplayer
teams will need to master each role for maximum effectiveness.
The latest version of Massive’s ‘Masstech’
engine utilizes DX10 technology and features advanced
lighting and physics effects, and allows for a full
360 degree range of camera control. As the battle rages,
the world environment pays the price as every object,
house, tree, in fact, just about everything crumbles
under fire, and the FPS-like control scheme and 360-degree
camera make its action-strategy gameplay accessible
to strategy fans and gamers in general. If you love
strategy, you’ll love World in Conflict. If you’ve
never played strategy, World in Conflict is the strategy
game to try.
