Gadget Descriptions:
Charge Gloves
The game’s default gadget, Wilbur uses them to
play Charge-Ball, a sport in which one glove generates
a ball of energy, and the second glove creates an energy
shield. Also used as a weapon and a tool for solving
environmental puzzles, the charge ball will bounce and
ricochet off objects and enemies, while the shield is
used to block projectile attacks directed at the player.
Disassembler
The Disassembler will break down objects, revealing
the interior contents of crates, containers and other
easily identifiable objects. With the Disassembler,
players obtain items scattered throughout the world
including components for the game’s economies,
along with health and energy pick-ups. Some objects
will be too complex to Disassemble at low levels, but
as the gadget is upgraded, it can take apart increasingly
complex items.
Scanner
The Scanner is an important and universal gadget that
is used throughout the game. All interactive items and
opponents in the game can be scanned; a wire-frame version
of the model will be displayed on the pop-up screen
when the scan is complete, detailing information about
the object. Names, statistics and humorous item information
are all displayed, including what component parts it
can be broken down into. Scans will list items that
are in containers.
Havoc Gloves
The Havoc Gloves can be used to burrow tunnels in the
ground, dig through walls and perform sonic wave area-of-effect
damage around Wilbur. A charge meter is associated with
the gloves and every time a sonic wave is performed,
it depletes some of the gloves’ energy. Wilbur
also has a special attack with the Havoc Gloves –
when he reaches the surface after burrowing, he comes
up in an uppercut, inflicting damage on enemies above
him.
L.E.V. (Levitation Emitting Volume)
This device sends out sticky globes which attach to
enemies. Smaller enemies can be levitated with one shot,
while larger, more difficult enemies will require multiple
shots. Once an enemy is floating, Wilbur can punch them
with the Charge Gloves to send the enemy flying (when
outside) or bouncing around indoors.
