Pretty in Pink) receiving some life-altering news and divorcing again, the Harper household makes way for more silly escapades and not forgetting the occasional guest appearance. Alan’s son Jake (Angus T. Jones, The Rookie) moves back in and hits puberty when he swaps his Harry Potter posters for the joys of ‘hotties’. Alan attempts to move from his divorce and dabbles in online dating and Charlie has an encounter with his long-deceased Dad. Adding to the humour of the show and to make matters worse Alan and Charlie’s mother Evelyn (Holland Taylor, The Truman Show) is just as controlling and annoying as before and sarcastic and crazy housekeeper Berta (Conchata Ferrell, Mr Deeds) continues to trade insults with Charlie along the way.
