Get ready for the ultimate tear-up, as legendary Director
Nick Love (The Football Factory, The Business, Outlaw)
is back with another fist-thumping Brit-flick, THE FIRM.
This all-action account of a young geezer trying to
find his way in the world of football hooliganism is
released to buy on Blu-ray and DVD on 1 February 2010
from Warner Home Video.
DiDirector Nick Love returns to the terraces once again
to deliver another top-notch football hooligan flick
after the success of The Football Factory. THE FIRM
is a classic coming of age story set amongst one of
England’s most revered tribes...football firms.
It’s humorous, heartwarming and the cockney banter,
wardrobes and fight scenes are scarily ‘bang-on’.
Loosely adapted from the cult 1989 movie starring Gary
Oldman, Nick Love’s THE FIRM is the fifth hard-hitting
film from Nick Love. This action-packed, brutal football
hooligan fight movie pulls no punches and is set to
a killer 80’s soundtrack that sets the tone along
with the bright colours of the classic casual 80’s
clobber from FILA, Sergio Tacchini and Ellesse. THE
FIRM includes a great cast of up and coming actors who
give it 110% with outstanding performances, including
lead roles from the young Calum McNab and new-comer
bad-boy Paul Anderson.
Dom (McNab; Stoned, Rise of the Footsoldier), a young
wannabe football casual gets drawn into the dangerous
world of the firm’s charismatic top boy, Bex (Anderson).
Accepted for his fast mouth and sense of humour, Dom
soon becomes one of the boys. But as Bex and his gang
clash with rival firms across the country and the violence
spirals out of control, Dom realises
he wants out – until he learns it’s not
that easy to simply walk away.
THE FIRM is jam-packed with special features including
a ‘making of’, behind the scenes anatomy
of the gang fights, deleted scenes and alternative endings.
This mental movie puts the cherry on the cake for fans
of Nick Love films and is yours to own on 1 February
2010 from Warner Home Video. So, stick your hand in
your ‘sky rocket’ and go and get involved...
you know it makes sense.
