If
dressing animals in human-type clothes isnt your idea of fun
theres a title that lifts virtual life to an even higher level.
BABYZ was the first virtual infant product that allowed interaction
between children and babies in a comfortable and colourful virtual
living environment. In a sense the Babyz are like animated dolls but
the difference is they grow and mature, learn and listen. Anyway, back to the Babyz... Starting life at around nine months old youll see them grow
hair, learn to walk, talk and develop their own unique personalities. No two babyz are
ever the same and their actions depend on how well they are taught. There are seven
interactive areas for them to explore, the playroom, backyard, living room, kitchen,
attic, nursery and a changing room where all their clothes are kept. These areas contain everything you need to educate and amuse them
with a wide variety of toys, books, musical instruments and activities. Just like a living
child playtime is also learning time and from a gurgling bundle that enjoys being tickled
they will progress to walking, talking and interaction with others. You can have up to
three Babys on-screen at any time and an adoption society is set up on the Internet to
increase your family. Youll need to bath them and feed them, cuddle and play with
them youll even have to change their nappies but thats all done in the
best possible taste. Furthermore, voice recognition is built into the game so if you have
a microphone attached to your PC the babyz will soon become familiar with how you sound
and what you want them to do and, with your help, theyll be able to learn the names
of objects around their home. With loads of outfits to dress them up in BABYZ is just like having a little brother or sister that only you are responsible for but, better still, when you get fed up with them you can send them to grandmas house and nip onto the Internet for a new model. Price: £9.99 on PC CD ROM from Focus. |
