Adiboo has starred in many of Havas Interactive’s Knowledge Series but his latest adventure is designed to open up the world of science to an inquisitive group of 4 – 7 year-olds.  

Called simply I DISCOVER SCIENCE, Adiboo, a strangely human-looking alien and his less human-looking pals set out to reveal the mysteries of the everyday scientific world through a series of interactive activities that even some parents may find enlightening. The two CD’s hold an ‘environment’ CD (Adiboo Land) and an ‘application’ CD (Land of Science), the first contains early learning activities and animation while the second is the place to explore the technological aspects. 

Adiboo Land is a very busy place where there is always something happening. Sowing seeds, baking cakes, harvesting crops, watering flowers and looking after the animals are all a part of the interesting activities. There are lots of animations and secret hot spots to discover and many things to stimulate the imagination like choosing the right home for an animal or harvesting fruit for use in the kitchen.  

The Land of Science is a bigger place – so huge that you drive between locations in Adiboo’s little car, the Adibug – and each area is packed with things to do. The Adibug itself is a great learning tool as the players gets free driving lessons and road safety tips as they explore the map locations. There’s even a garage where they can top up with petrol, change the car’s colour and fit a new horn. Then there’s a racetrack where they can put all their driving skills to the test with a special surprise for the winner. 

Of course the main emphasis is on the learning side and all of the activities, although fun, are used to teach too. Things like electricity and pulleys are covered, as are animals, the solar system and geography. Simple, everyday things that most of us take for granted are totally new to a child but Adiboo makes sure those things are explained in ways that the child can relate to and enjoy.
