Barbie fans have a great choice of
interactive software at the moment thanks to a handful of new titles released by Vivendi
Universal, one of which is BARBIE BEACH PARTY. All of the activities are centred
around tropical paradises and players can either play the games individually as they
choose or progressively in the adventure mode. Using different shaped buckets, shells, flowers and flags you can try your hand at sandcastle making on the beach and some really great effects can be achieved. Then there is a chance to do a little surfing and by using the arrow keys you have to avoid all the obstacles in the water. More water sport action is found in the water skiing game where
you weave through gates, leap over ramps and collect items along the way; or you could
even try your hand at a spot of underwater photography and snap a few exotic sea
creatures. Back on land Barbie wants to try her hand at a little hula dancing and by correctly timing your left and right mouse clicks to musical notes that appear on-screen she will strut her stuff just for you. The better you are the better she is and the faster you’ll have to click…! Then there’s the beach party itself where you choose the music, venue, guest list and decorations before joining in the fun. Before each activity you get to choose Barbie’s outfit from
the rail and there’s a photo album where you can store pictures of all the great
times you’ve had with Barbie and her friends. There’s plenty of fun in the sun with BARBIE BEACH PARTY
